Performance Skills / Professional Development (adults)
The Performance Skills workshop explores methods for implementing a performative pedagogy in the EFL classroom. This participatory theatre workshop introduces useful warm-ups and drama games while providing tips for successfully facilitating performance activities with heterogeneous groups of students. Drama in the EFL classroom provides a highly flexible tool which can encourage interaction, increase student motivation and be differentiated for diverse learning types. During this workshop participants will have an embodied experience of working with drama in a foreign language, learn new methods and hopefully leave with an enhanced interest in the role performance can play in the language classroom.
How it Works
Workshops are generally between 90 min - 3.5 hours.
Programs can be booked for the schools English Department or as part of a larger event.
Workshops are conducted in English but interested colleagues from other departments may participate.
