At InterACT English we’re working to establish the role of the Teaching-Artist in language classrooms across the country. What’s a Teaching-Artist? A Teaching-Artist is a practicing professional artist with formalized training in their artistic discipline. In addition to their own artistic practice they’re also an experienced pedagogue and educator. Many of our TAs also hold certifications as ESL instructors.
Who we’re looking for
• Educators with a passion for sharing their art with young people
• Native English speakers
• Artists experienced working with kids/teens – ideally in a school setting
• People based in Germany with all legal documents
• ESL qualifications
What we offer
Our Teaching-Artists receive some of the highest compensation in the English youth education industry. We pay fair and livable wages and we seek to take care of our team by offering a transparent management style and a respectful working environment.
We believe in building long-term relationships with our Teaching-Artists and investing in their personal development and individual talents to make them stronger educators and to maximize their contributions to our team.
We seek to achieve excellence in our programming. This goes for the content we teach, the people who teach it, the way we deliver it and the performances, films, and projects we make and share with parents and students.
